Alter set up

OK, so first the biggest message, this is how I set my alter up!  You may not feel the same!

So in the center of my alter, is my spell area that I work and worship the gods and goddesses from. But remember that the alter is not the only way to worship the gods and goddesses.  Always have them in mind for everything.  If you want I can do a post on this?  Comment below for this.

For my witches area, my spells are huge, so I don’t use a cauldron, but a baking tray as when your doing candle magic this can go up with a whoosh! So do have a bottle of salt water to hand!  Don’t just suffocate the flames with a lid etc as this can be a bad thing, as it’s like you are suffocating the spell.  This is why I use salt water, as then it purifies it as well.  This is easily made any form of salt into fresh bottle of water, not tap, you can leave this under full moon as well to give it extra charge.  So to help keep the area safe from the heat that is sometimes coming off the baking tray is placed on cooling racks and a heat mat for BBQ’s.

I always have my wax melt on there, this is so I can stick the candles to the baking tray easier.  Then a spare candle to the side, I don’t know why I have this it seems to bring me comfort.  This is why I say the set up is different for everyone, one of the main reasons is for my daily bay leaf burn.  That comes to the next things I have is tweezers and a bowl for burning them in. I then have my grinding bowl, I am hoping to get an electric one at some point, as this is used to mix my witches salt.

Now, the wonderful gods and goddesses, even though I worship more, these are the ones I have done spells to to help me change the energy.  One of the things you will notice is the jars, these are where I keep the things dedicated to these gods and goddesses in the past. As these now belong to them. These jars are just empty ones from that had food in, as I like to save mother Gaia as much as I can.  The only thing that gets buried in her is things that will rot, such as apples, oranges etc.  As I bury them I thank her for giving us these and hope that more will grow in it’s place.

If you would like to know about the gods and goddesses on my alter, pop a comment below.

Keep Sparkling!

I’d love to know more other ways that we can worship the gods & goddesses, if possible. The salt water close by & the baking tray are such great ideas & I can see how helpful these can be for spell work & practice. Thank you so much for sharing this. 🙏💖
