One of the things I think gets us all into the paranormal world, is supernatural shows. This is my top 10 on which ones are best. I have looked at what I find watchable again, but most importantly how I see the paranormal world.
Warning, this blog caused a massive conversation in our house about what is considered a paranormal show!Â
10. Supernatural,
Now this is likely one of the biggest paranormal shows here in the UK. But I have ranked it at the bottom of my list. After season 8 even though still watchable, personally I feel it gets a little over the top. The best part for me is where is shows all gods and goddesses are real, most important is how the paranormal world fights against the ones battling it. It shows how much effort also has to go into being able to keep up with this, and how draining it can be on our lives.
This one was a shock for me, and shows how the darkness of this world is finding a way to use technology. Even though I have linked to DVD, this is on Netflix. The group of friends start to have to fight something invisible, that is killing them off 1 by 1 for making wishes on an app. Shows the effort a shamanic practitioner has to put in to save the children before it’s too late.
8. Alchemy of souls,
This one shows the power we have in our souls and how much it could be used if people learnt to. We have to ignore all the special effects as it can never be seen with our eyes, but it also has an amazing love story to add to it.
I’m sorry but a lot are Korean, as the East seem to have an amazing connection with the paranormal world, that the west has lost.Â
7. My Demon,
This is an amazing love story. But for me, this shows you what I try to explain. How everything in the paranormal world at some point has been human. Also has Song Kang.
6. Tomorrow,
This one will make you laugh, will make you cry and more. It is a great example of spirit guides and the ones that take us to the light. It is also a great example of how we live our life and our death can affect us once we get there.
5. Ghost whisperer,
Now, this is amazing at how we see them, what they can do to us and so much more. Even though they take it to far with the Jim and Sam thing. It is brilliant at showing the connection with the other side, how people can have intuition and their gift be different.
4. Phantom Lawyer,
This one, wow, comedy, and the power of charms. It also shows how someone can get the gift, by playing in the paranormal and how it can affect your life. For the good and bad.
3. Evil,
When I first saw the demon and the nun looking at it possessing someone this blew my head away. Not many get this right, especially here in the west. How it shows they attach also to not just the person but the people around them. Each has a different job it’s wanting to push them into the darkness with through sex, destroying families and much more. Also how it brings different religions together.
2. The East Palace,
This actually made me cry first watching it. Its understanding of what it is like to be someone that mainly has the dark souls come to them, for astral projection and much more was brilliant. I truly felt seen by this show, also how unlike ghost whisperer, it shows that the darkness is not always human looking. It also shows how the dark things sometimes just want to live. But most importantly the importance of understanding the dark and light inside ourselves.
This isn’t a show like the others, but more a reality of what it is like being a clairvoyant. Watch this one and have fun playing along.
